To use SurveyMonkey with TapResearch, you will need a Team Premier account.
If you need to run a one-off survey, or do not want to upgrade, TapResearch's Market Insights tool may be a good fit!
After creating your survey in SurveyMonkey, perform the following steps:
1) From the SurveyMonkey dashboard, select Design Survey > Logic > Custom Variable.
2) Create a new variable. Make the variable name "tid" and the label "transaction ID".
3) Go to the "Collect Responses" tab, then select Add New Collector > Web Link Collector.
4) A web link will be generated. Next, select "Show advanced options".
5) Return to TapResearch and within the project builder, copy the "Disqualification" and "Success" Redirect URLs. These redirects can be found in the URL section and are specific to your customer account.
6) Return to SurveyMonkey and add the redirects to the Custom Survey End Page and to Custom Disqualification (Applicable only if you have disqualifying questions within your survey).
Under "Survey End Page", Add the "Success" Redirect from TapResearch
Remove any characters after "complete"
Under "Custom Disqualification", Add the "Disqualified" Redirect from TapResearch
Remove any characters after "disqualified"
7) Head to the top of the current page, then select "Copy" next to the Web Link
8) Return to TapResearch and within the campaign, navigate to the "URL" section. Paste the link copied from SurveyMonkey into both the "Survey URL" section and then replace "[tid_value]" with "{id}" in both links.
Don't forget! Add "{ID}" to the link.
For Example: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VRH7X25?tid={id}

9) You are now ready to test the survey. For additional help on testing, check out this Help Document!
Click on the "Test" button, then you will see a pop-up with a URL in the center of the screen. Click on that URL to enter your survey (you may need to allow pop-ups from TapResearch).
If you have Disqualification logic in place, attempt to trigger that disqualification logic by selecting an answer which should disqualify you from the survey. If everything is in place correctly, you will be redirected to the following screen:
Attempt to test your survey from start to finish and upon reaching the end of the survey, you may see your "Thank you" or end page briefly. Then you will be redirected to the following page:
Make sure to clear out your results from SurveyMonkey. To do this, go to "Collect Responses", click on the 3 dots next to the trash can, select "Clear all responses." This will remove your test data from the end results.
Congratulations! If you were able to see both of these pages correctly, your project is ready to launch.
